A disheveled man with an open and flat collar.

The Problem

You're wearing a collared shirt with the first couple of buttons undone, and your collar is hanging open so wide it's nearly touching the outside of each shoulder. This is not a great look.

The Solution

Only one button truly matters when you are hanging or folding your collared shirt: the top one. It's probably best to button all the buttons, but the top is the most important as it holds the collar in the shape it should be. Your shirt has some "memory," if you don't button it up when you're storing it, it will remember being a sad and floppy shirt.

Don't make your shirt sad and floppy.
